BRUNA GRIMALDI
PIEDMONT, ITALY
Since 1957, growing grapes and crafting elegant, high quality wines have been the main goal of the family behind Azienda Agricola Bruna Grimaldi. Born and raised in the hills that link Grinzane Cavour to Serralunga d’Alba, in the heart of Langhe, is where all the magic takes place. With an ethical approach to managing the vineyard, their respect for nature shines through their elegant wines. They farm 14ha of certified organic vineyards in seven communes within Barolo and on its borders. In the vineyards, they use manual labour, practice gassing, only use organic fertilizers and fight against parasites naturally. In the winery and cellar, power is fully sustained through renewable energy, their cases are made of 100% recyclable cardboard, and their corks are 100% recyclable too (allowing them to guarantee quality and use low sulphites in the wines!). For Azienda Agricola Bruna Grimaldi, sustainability goes full-circle. Now with Martina and Simone beginning to steer the ship, they continuously think ahead so they may leave their territory better than they found and received it.
