Francesc’s wines are all of our favourite things combined: kind, honest, saline, pithy, have personality, heritage, and show a sense of place.

Hailing from Nulles, Tarragona, Francesc has revived the family’s estate by recuperating his grandfather’s century-old vineyards. He’s bringing back indigenous varieties such as Cartoixà and Macabeu, while also crafting something special from Malvasia and Garnatxa Negra.

Tanca els ulls means “close your eyes” in the Catalan dialect, referencing Francesc’s dream of bringing life back to his family’s vineyards and Tarragona, a major challenge for such a small operation, especially in a village of approximately 500 people where there aren’t many wineries and grapes often find themselves sold to larger co-ops and Cava producers.
